Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern the Amem website and app, operated by Virex Tech LLC. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Last updated: July 27, 2026.
1. The service
Amem is a focus and prayer app: you pick distracting apps to block and, before unlocking, you are invited to pause and pray, with prayers, devotionals, a community and progress tracking. You must be at least 13 and provide accurate information when creating an account.
2. Subscriptions and payments
Premium features are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions billed by the App Store or Google Play to your store account. Cancel anytime in the store's subscription settings, effective from the next cycle; refunds follow Apple's and Google's policies. Prices may change with prior notice under store rules.
3. Community and conduct
The prayer community exists to encourage. Posting illegal, offensive, discriminatory content, spam or third-party personal data is prohibited. We provide reporting and blocking tools, review reports within 24 hours, and may hide content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. By posting, you grant us a license to display that content within the service.
4. Spiritual content and app blocking
Prayers and devotionals are religious and inspirational in nature and are no substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. App blocking is a self-control tool that depends on operating-system permissions; we do not guarantee it cannot be bypassed.
5. Intellectual property
The app, the Amem brand, the mascot, texts and design belong to Virex Tech LLC or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the service; copying, modifying, distributing or reverse engineering it is prohibited.
6. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or outages caused by third parties (stores, providers, connectivity). Nothing in these terms excludes rights guaranteed by consumer law.
7. Termination and changes
You may close your account at any time; we may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. We may update these terms and will notify you in the app of material changes — continued use after notice means acceptance.
